Chippewa Middle School’s team members will represent Minnesota at the National Future City Competition in Washington DC during Engineers Week, February 14-20, 2010. The team’s future city, Jijiamani, is a gateway to green design due to its innovative concepts and features. From fold out roof expansions on mid-city buildings to multiple tree root based structures called Tree-Easy Homes, Jijiamani features engineering details that have “structural integrity, functional and aesthetic design and energy conservation.”
