Success Beyond the Classroom is delighted to offer public and private high schools in the seven-County Metro Area an opportunity to participate in the Freshwater Society's 2008 Art Contest.

The Freshwater Society offers three $1,000 scholarships to high school students in eligible schools who find an artful way to express the importance and significance of water to human life. Acceptable projects include 1) photography, 2) drawing, 3) painting, and 4) sculpture and 5) multimedia. Each art piece must be original and must be accompanied by a typed essay (250 word limit) that describes the work and its relation to the theme, Water is Life.

February 29, 2008 - Entry applications due
March 31, 2008 - Artwork due (brought to Metro ECSU)
April 22, 2008 - West Metro regional competition
April 23, 2008 - East Metro regional competition
May 7, 2008 - Find Event - art exhibit and scholarship award ceremony
