Heading - Fresh Water Society Art Contest

Winning Entry

 

Success Beyond the Classroom is delighted to offer public and private high schools in the seven-county metro area an opportunity to participate in the Freshwater Society's 2010 Art Contest.

The Freshwater Society offers six $500 scholarships to high school students who find an artful way to express the importance and significance of water to human life. Acceptable projects include:
1) photography, 2) drawing, 3) painting, 4) sculpture, 5) multimedia and 6) short video.

Each art piece must be original and accompanied by a typed essay (250 word limit) that describes the work and its relation to the theme, Water is Life.

March 15, 2010 - Instructor deadline for Intent to Participate
March 25 , 2010 - Student Artwork and Essays due
April 21, 2010 - Metro Regional Competition
May 5, 2010 - Final Competition - reception, art exhibit and scholarship award ceremony
