"Invention at Play" website: http://www.inventionatplay.org

This resource is a great complement to the Young Inventors Program!

"Invention at Play" invites you to discover the similarities between the ways we play and the creative processes used by leaders in science and technology innovation. You'll meet inventors like Alexander Graham Bell, who invented the telephone, and Stephanie Kwolek, the inventor of Kevlar. You'll discover how a dog inspired the invention of Velcro and how a melting chocolate bar led to the invention of the microwave. You'll build an obstacle course with forks, spatulas, and other kitchen utensils, climb aboard a life-sized sailboard simulator, build whirligigs and robots, and more!
